Images are part of the Joan Hill Hanks manuscript collection of materials pertaining to the origin, creation, and performances "A Tennessee bicentennial rap: 1796-1996," written by Joan Hill Hanks in commemoration of the Tennessee Bicentennial in 1996. The song was designated the "Official Tennessee Bicentennial Rap" by the State Senate Joint Resolution No. 315, adopted: April 25, 1996.
