Scales and exercises, 8 pgs.  Songs, most with titles and lyrics, ca. 20 pgs.  Staffs and music notations in brown ink.  Titles and lyrics in blue ink or pencil; appear to have been added later.  Titles include Buy A Broom, The Lavender Girl, Bristol March, Queen Mary's Escape, Webster Quickstep, Hackett March, Waltz, Panharmonicon March, Capt. Macdonald's March, Spanish Patriot March, Resurrection, Wreath for the Chieftan, Go Forget Me Why Should Sorrow, Gaily the Troubador Touched His Guitar, Bugle Waltz, Zip Coon, The [Th]istle Reel, The Campbells Are Coming, Soldier's Joy, The White Cockade, Bonaparte's March Crossing the Rhine, Monkey's Wedding, Zip Coon, and Variations to the Downfall of Bonaparte.

 

Also, 11 pages of similar tunes, blue ink.  Titles include Fisher's Hornpipe, Mary at the Tomb, [Agawam] Quick Step, The Rose of Allendale, Lavender Girl, The Ivy Green, Remembrance, Galop, and the Brattleboro Waltz.
