Provenance:

Three instantaneous discs were loaned to the Center for copying by Lawrence M. Gamble (through the medium of Sandy Conatser). This reel tape copy was created by Center audio specialist Bruce Nemerov.
 

Scope and Content:

Three separate performances of Lawrence M. Gamble (playing a local form of mountain dulcimer called the "Tennessee music box") documented on three instantaneous discs, two dated March 5, 1959 and April 18, 1959 (the third undated). Two discs are 8" 33 1/3 rpm and one is 6 3/4" 45 rpm. Further information on the recording and selections is included on the audio log.
