Letter reads, "Mr Glover sir, I will submit to your inspection the following plan for our military salute. I have put them all in minims in order to make it more plain - being one step on beat on each note. If it meets with your approbation, I should like to have it adopted by all the musicians. Respectfully yours, Henry H. Terry. Oyster Ponds, Sept 24 1831".
